About us
Company and business experience
Belinda Animals is a Belgrade-based company established in 2020. Our development builds on the experience of professionals who have worked in manufacturing, quality control, commercial operations and international trade. We apply this background to insect rearing, process development and cooperation in the circular bioeconomy.
Experience that predates the company
Members of our team have worked on pet-food production and packaging, manufacturing facility development, raw-material and equipment procurement, sales networks and relationships with domestic and international businesses. Their professional backgrounds include Galenika and ICN Galenika, Perfect Produkt, Belinda Bel and other companies.

Connecting production with development
Our Tenebrio molitor pilot infrastructure has provided a setting in which practical expertise can meet scientific research. Cooperation with IBISS and technology transfer to Montenegro demonstrate how controlled-rearing knowledge can support a new partner operation.
Our business approach
We bring together technology, equipment and the knowledge needed to use them. Discussions with customers and partners focus on the material, process, capacity and intended application. For development projects, we combine technical, research and management expertise in a dedicated team.
Timeline
2020
Belinda Animals d.o.o. established in Belgrade (19 March 2020).
2022–2023
Development of the TeM incubator with IBISS, supported by the EU for Green Agenda in Serbia initiative.
2023
Four climate-controlled chambers, sieving and monitoring equipment installed.
October 2023
Biotech Future Forum: the Belinda Animals stand was visited by a delegation led by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić; consultations on the regulatory position of insect rearing followed.
December 2023
Adoption of rulebook amendments adding Tenebrio molitor to insect species for processed animal protein in feed.
January 2024
Belinda's solution selected through Serbia's ODA initiative.
2024
TRISA: technology transfer to Veterinum in Ulcinj, training for 22 participants and growth to 15 active rearing batches.
2026
Innovation Center Belgrade's local demonstration programme linked to Belinda's premises in Kotež.
